Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the site Environmental compliance programme, ensuring performance targets and adherence to UK/EU legislation, client standards, and relevant engineering/EHS requirements.
  • •Develop, implement, and monitor environmental management system elements including targets, metrics, and continuous improvement actions.
  • •Build environmental capability across engineering and operations through risk assessments, training, coaching, and guidance.
  • •Act as the site focal point for environmental sustainability experts and regulators, coordinating specialist support and site initiatives such as carbon, water, waste, and biodiversity.
  • •Oversee EHS management for construction and demolition projects, including Contractor Safety standards, Permit to Work, RAMS, and coordination with project teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental Health and Safety, or a relevant technical discipline.
  • •NEBOSH Certificate, or an equivalent qualification in Construction Safety or Environmental Management.
  • •Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines (e.g., maintenance, utilities, compliance, reliability, capital) in a manufacturing, process safety, or industrial environment.
  • •Experience managing and delivering technical or operational projects.
  • •Experience in a pharmaceutical industry or other regulated manufacturing environment.
