Lead and grow Sentry's Machine Learning Engineering team, overseeing the full ML surface from classical models to LLM-based systems. Partner with product, design and engineering across Sentry to identify high-impact ML opportunities, set technical direction, monitor production ML systems, and drive ambitious roadmap delivery for millions of developers.

Key Responsibilities

•Set technical direction across the team’s full ML surface area, including classical models, LLM-based and agentic systems, and determine the best approach for each problem
•Define how the team evaluates and monitors ML systems in production, including offline metrics, online experimentation, and observability
•Stay hands-on to review code and model designs, participate in architecture discussions, and unblock engineers on complex ML problems
•Define the team roadmap, scope work, allocate resources, and ensure execution against ambitious goals
•Partner with product managers, designers, and engineering leaders to identify high-impact ML opportunities in our products

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 220,000 - 280,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of professional engineering experience with significant time building and shipping ML systems in production
•3+ years of engineering management experience, ideally leading ML/AI or data-focused teams
•Familiarity with deploying and operating ML models at scale, including evaluation, monitoring, and iteration in production
•Strong judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
•Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable working across product, research, and engineering
