Serve as a primary finance business partner to Fibre Operations leadership, delivering timely, actionable financial insight to support operational and strategic decisions. Lead the monthly woodlands financial close, ensure GAAP-compliant results, and drive forecasting, budgeting, and longer-term planning. Prepare and analyze financial results, explain variances, identify trends and risks, and partner with operations on cost control, productivity, and capital planning. Provide guidance to junior team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as primary finance business partner to Fibre Operations leadership, providing actionable financial insight for operational and strategic decisions.
•Serve as the key point of contact for operations on financial matters, building relationships and influencing outcomes through data-driven analysis.
•Lead timely and accurate monthly financial close for woodlands operations, ensuring integrity of results and adherence to corporate standards, policies, and GAAP.
•Facilitate forecasting and support annual budgeting and longer-term planning aligned with business objectives.
•Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual results; explain variances, identify trends and risks, recommend actions, and support cost control, productivity improvement, and capital planning.

Key Requirements

•5 years of experience in an accountant role, preferably within the forest products industry or a related operations/manufacturing environment.
•Completion of post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Commerce, or similar (CPA preferred).
•Ability to multi-task and drive multiple initiatives forward.
•Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Strong computer skills, including Microsoft 365 (especially Excel), plus practical ERP experience (JDE and Oracle systems are an asset).
