Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as primary finance business partner to Fibre Operations leadership, providing actionable financial insight for operational and strategic decisions.
  • •Serve as the key point of contact for operations on financial matters, building relationships and influencing outcomes through data-driven analysis.
  • •Lead timely and accurate monthly financial close for woodlands operations, ensuring integrity of results and adherence to corporate standards, policies, and GAAP.
  • •Facilitate forecasting and support annual budgeting and longer-term planning aligned with business objectives.
  • •Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual results; explain variances, identify trends and risks, recommend actions, and support cost control, productivity improvement, and capital planning.

Key Requirements

  • •5 years of experience in an accountant role, preferably within the forest products industry or a related operations/manufacturing environment.
  • •Completion of post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Commerce, or similar (CPA preferred).
  • •Ability to multi-task and drive multiple initiatives forward.
  • •Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • •Strong computer skills, including Microsoft 365 (especially Excel), plus practical ERP experience (JDE and Oracle systems are an asset).
