Job Summary

Lead CPU verification for next-generation AMD cores, maintaining and scaling RTL and testbench environments used for development and verification. Own feature understanding, create and review verification test plans, and develop directed/random test cases to debug failures, fix RTL/verification bugs, and improve stimulus/coverage. Drive 100% functional coverage, support post-silicon bug recreation, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to verification engineers across globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with stakeholders to understand high-level CPU features and dependencies, and create test plans covering stimulus, debug, and coverage.
•Develop directed and random test cases for feature bring-up, debug failures, and fix RTL/verification bugs and testbench issues.
•Maintain feature health by evaluating and improving stimulus coverage, tweaking or adding stimulus as needed, and achieving high functional coverage.
•Develop new C++ checkers when required and perform post-silicon bug recreation when needed.
•Provide technical leadership and mentorship to verification engineers, drive verification planning/execution, lead technical reviews, and coordinate across global teams.

Key Requirements

•B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
•14+ years of experience in CPU verification.
•Strong fundamentals in computer architecture and digital systems, including understanding of x86 assembly code.
•Good working knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog, and C++; shell/perl scripting is a plus.
•Experience with formal verification methodology/tools (e.g., VSI-FV, JASPER, IFV, IEV) is a plus.
