Job Summary

Conduct teller transactions with speed and accuracy while protecting bank assets. Set up, balance, and maintain teller stations, handle cash and negotiable items, record monetary instrument sales, and assist with vault/ATM/night drop balancing. Follow account protection and safety procedures, scan and process documents, and use judgment for holds and check-cashing decisions. Support bank growth by cross-selling products and cross-training for basic consumer account openings.

Key Responsibilities

•Receive, pay out, and process cash, negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
•Set up, close, and balance the teller station, including assists with vault/ATM/night drop/coin machine balancing as assigned.
•Record sales of monetary instruments and maintain a neat, well-stocked teller area.
•Cross-sell bank products and services and cross-train to open basic new consumer accounts.
•Follow bank policies and procedures, including compliance training and applying holds/check-cashing decisions with appropriate judgment.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED (or equivalent), plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training.
•Basic math skills and ability to use 10-key to handle money and transactions.
•Ability to effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations.
•Ability to follow simple multi-step instructions and exercise critical thinking in standardized situations with limited variables.
•Must maintain a positive, friendly, professional attitude and be able to adhere to the work schedule with flexibility.
