Job Summary

Own the strategic development of the defence sales opportunity pipeline from identification through deal closure for the Optronics & Missile Electronics portfolio. Lead win strategy creation, support and steer cross-functional bid teams, and ensure successful proposal delivery and compliance. Drive profitable order intake and sustainable growth, manage key client and stakeholder relationships across levels, and align opportunities with market data, product policies, and the strategic business plan.

•Own the strategic development of the opportunity pipeline from identification through deal closure.
•Communicate win strategies and actively lead/support bid teams to deliver high-quality, competitive proposals.
•Create and develop new business opportunities and convert them into profitable orders to meet budgeted order intake and growth objectives.
•Develop and evolve account management structure and manage key client and stakeholder relationships across levels.
•Support planning activities including Strategic Business Plan, Multi Year Budget setting, and sector product strategy; represent the business at events and exhibitions.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrable defence sales experience selling complex systems/equipment globally, including experience with UK MoD structure, defence procurement, and/or commercial activities (including export processes).
•Experience developing compelling win strategies and driving continuous improvement in fast-paced environments.
•Previous sales experience using Shipley methodologies or similar is preferred.
