Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and assist on planning policy projects, supporting local authority policy and strategy development and delivery of local plan evidence studies and strategic growth studies.
  • •Provide strategic planning advice to client and internal teams and share technical knowledge.
  • •Represent the organisation with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, including attendance at conferences and networking events.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered on budget and within programme timelines, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams for execution.
  • •Contribute to planning policy team deliverables and uphold quality assurance, including health and safety principles.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant relevant experience leading and contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
  • •Client-focused approach with good interpersonal skills and collaborative working style.
  • •Existing relationships with clients and local authorities.
  • •Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and communicate effectively.
  • •Degree in Town Planning (or related) plus membership of RTPI or an equivalent professional body.
