Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead commercial and cost management for major aviation infrastructure and construction projects, controlling expenditure and ensuring contractual compliance.
  • •Develop and continuously improve cost management procedures, systems, and governance frameworks aligned to best practice and contractual requirements.
  • •Monitor cost control processes, escalate concerns, and maintain programme-wide cost management strategies with robust budgetary control and financial reporting.
  • •Manage variations, change control, retention mechanisms, liquidated damages assessments, and monthly cashflow forecasting.
  • •Support pre- and post-contract cost management, including review/approval of valuations and final accounts, and provide specialist commercial advice on claims, disputes, and contractual entitlements.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience working with the NEC Suite of Contracts in a client, contractor, or subcontractor role.
  • •Experience delivering projects within the aviation sector (or similarly operationally complex environments).
  • •Degree qualified (BSc or MSc) in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
  • •Professionally qualified and on the Statutory Register of Quantity Surveyors in Ireland; preferably Chartered Quantity Surveying status with the RICS or SCSI.
  • •Excellent IT skills with ability to use digital measurement, cost planning, and tender document tools.
