Key Responsibilities

  • •Set up equipment for the poultry selection process per instructions.
  • •Select birds for placement by catching/isolating birds, verifying gender and line details, capturing weight data, and monitoring groups to avoid crowding.
  • •Move birds to designated locations (e.g., market pen or coops) based on instructions, including marking/processing steps when designated for market.
  • •Euthanize off-condition birds using the cervical dislocation method per animal welfare guidelines.
  • •Maintain a clean, organized work area and support sanitation, equipment movement, and basic equipment checks/maintenance as needed.
