Job Summary

Own and execute Visa Government Solutions sales strategy across Western and Central Africa, identifying priority clients, opportunities, and growth areas. Build and manage public-sector pipelines, develop account plans and business cases, and lead or support RFPs and proposal execution. Engage government stakeholders across bid and award stages, develop ecosystem partners, and provide market intelligence to position Visa’s payments intelligence and digital service delivery capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute Visa Government Solutions sales strategy across selected Western and Central Africa markets, originating opportunities and supporting revenue and market expansion goals.
•Build and manage a public-sector opportunity pipeline, creating account plans, sales strategies, business cases, and value propositions tied to measurable public impact.
•Lead or support RFP development, proposal coordination, and opportunity execution with disciplined pipeline management and timely progression.
•Establish and strengthen relationships with national, provincial, and local government stakeholders and navigate procurement processes through bid and award stages.
•Identify and engage ecosystem partners (issuers, processors, program managers, fintechs, technology providers) and collaborate internally to align outreach, proposition roadmaps, and market intelligence.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 5+ years with an advanced degree; or 2 years with a PhD).
•5–8 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, account management, or government solutions sales, ideally in payments/financial services/fintech/public sector.
•Strong understanding of public sector institutions, procurement, and government decision-making; ability to influence stakeholders and originate opportunities in complex environments.
•Strong consultative sales, relationship management, and business case development skills, including articulating value of digital payments for commercial and public outcomes.
•Excellent written and spoken English required; French is an advantage.
