Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain safe working practices as the number one priority while responding to production needs and delivering process improvements for quality, waste, and productivity.
  • •Investigate causes of ongoing process, quality, production efficiency, and high-waste issues, then develop solutions using problem-solving techniques.
  • •Support World Class Operations Management implementation as an active participant on teams and/or pillars, including maintaining standard operating conditions.
  • •Train machine operators on new equipment installations, modifications, and new operating procedures; initiate and document procedures to improve productivity while maintaining product quality.
  • •Collaborate with manufacturing supervisors, production crews, maintenance, and engineering resources to troubleshoot problems, develop corrective actions, and participate in evaluations of projects/waivers to minimize downtime and waste.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial) with 1–3 years of experience.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple ongoing process issues.
  • •General knowledge of flexible packaging products, including desired properties and quality standards.
  • •Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and the ability to learn job-specific software quickly.
  • •Knowledge of flexible packaging manufacturing processes, especially blown film, metallization, flexographic printing, extrusion coating, adhesive laminating, and slitting/winding operations.
