Key Responsibilities

  • •Mechanically assemble hydraulic systems and control units.
  • •Build and test small directional control valves and associated systems.
  • •Carry out automated flushing, pressure testing, and flushing units to ensure hydraulic cleanliness.
  • •Fit and torque bolts in sequence and build assemblies to prescribed quality standards, cost targets, and lead times.
  • •Maintain health and safety standards in the workshop environment and feed back quality issues using established procedures.

  • •Demonstrate ability to carry out mechanical assembly activities.
  • •Read and interpret mechanical schematics and use engineering diagrams, drawings, and routings.

  • •Carry out testing and calibration on modules to predetermined test processes under guidance from test engineers.
  • •Educated to NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Assembly (BTEC Level 3 or HNC in Engineering preferred).
