Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop a high-performing shift team and develop operators’ skills, including performance management when appropriate.
  • •Maintain knowledge of unit procedures, equipment, and personnel to meet operations, safety, environmental, maintenance, and quality objectives.
  • •Coordinate with HSE personnel, specialists, engineers, and managers to ensure operations meet site and business requirements.
  • •Interface with maintenance personnel to support maintenance execution and outages, and with project engineering/construction teams to manage area projects.
  • •Report, investigate, initiate corrective actions, actively troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and operating discipline documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Supervise Operations Technicians to ensure safe, efficient unit operations and maintain safe operating conditions.
  • •Typically 7+ years of chemical/refinery plant operations experience.
  • •Sound knowledge of chemical plant process equipment operation and basic process chemistry principles for an olefins plant.
  • •Ability to read and understand company policy, plant operating and basic maintenance procedures, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • •Working knowledge of Maintenance Operations Workflow Process (MOWP), plus strong organizational skills and effective cross-department interfacing.
