Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver third-party and supplier security assurance by assessing new and existing suppliers, reviewing questionnaires and evidence, and translating findings into recommendations throughout the supplier lifecycle.
  • •Lead and contribute to security assurance activities including control testing, PCI DSS assessments, regulatory reviews, and internal or external audits to drive remediation to completion.
  • •Improve security governance by updating and strengthening security policies, procedures, and controls so they are practical and proportionate.
  • •Support Monzo’s “Security Front Door” by answering security questions and requests across the business and improving the experience with help from specialists.
  • •Review new products, technology, and business changes to identify security risks and control gaps, turn expectations into workable requirements, and use data/automation/AI to scale processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Comfort assessing security risks and recommending proportionate ways to manage them, including experience with third-party or supplier security assurance.
  • •Ability to review security evidence such as supplier questionnaires, security policies, penetration test reports, and assurance evidence, and know when to dig deeper.
  • •Strong security fundamentals with technical curiosity, including confidence working through technical detail and asking thoughtful questions.
  • •Experience supporting control testing, PCI DSS assessments, regulatory reviews, and internal or external audits.
  • •Ability to communicate security risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, manage competing priorities, and collaborate across teams.
