Job Summary

Deliver state-certified instruction in an online setting, creating synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences while personalizing instruction to student mastery. Monitor progress through Stride K12’s learning management system, maintain accurate gradebooks, and support placement and promotion decisions. Partner with students and learning coaches/parents through timely communication and troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment. Travel occasionally for professional development and testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students in an online environment.
•Differentiate instruction and personalize learning based on student mastery and needs.
•Maintain gradebooks, support student academic integrity, and make placement/promotion decisions while alerting administrators to concerns.
•Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.
•Communicate regularly with students and learning coaches/parents and travel occasionally for professional development and testing.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree is required.
•Active Tennessee teaching license is required.
•Clear required background check.
•Must be able to attend in-person PDs, testing, and other school events.
•Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology and/or teaching in an online (virtual) environment is desired.
