Job Summary

Support the sourcing, evaluation, monitoring, and due diligence of hedge funds, fund-of-funds, and liquid alternatives for a fund platform. Assist with investment performance and risk analysis, contribute to published research and monitoring reports, and help manage a proprietary fund-of-funds portfolio. Work alongside senior managers to develop risk and investment guidelines and advise internal strategists, brokers, and UHNW/institutional clients with recommended alternative investment materials.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in selecting, evaluating, and monitoring hedge fund/fund-of-funds/liquid alternative managers under senior managers’ direction.
•Develop risk and investment guidelines and complete special research/due diligence reports.
•Analyze investment performance data and/or risk elements in alternative funds and liquid alternatives.
•Help source, evaluate/research, and monitor 40-50 managers for a hedge fund platform and contribute to monitoring reports.
•Support advisory work by helping advise strategists/brokers and UHNW/institutional clients, including guidance on recommended lists and education/research materials.

Key Requirements

•College degree or equivalent with relevant grounding in math, finance, writing, and analytical skills.
•1-3 years of experience in financial services, investment management, or a similarly leverageable background.
•Familiarity/competence with research databases and investment tools (e.g., Morningstar, Evestment/Tamale, Code Red).
•Strong quantitative skills; evidence of Excel proficiency and experience with risk measurement/fund evaluation tools.
•Strong written analysis, research, and math skills with intellectual curiosity about investments and alternative investments.
