Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver complex improvements to Trainline’s engineering platforms to support scalable, reliable and secure infrastructure.
  • •Implement and evolve infrastructure changes using Terraform, following module patterns and promoting automation.
  • •Apply least-privilege and secure-by-default principles across AWS accounts.
  • •Build or contribute to automation scripts using Node.js or Python for faster, safer delivery.
  • •Support and review mid-level engineers, and collaborate with Tech Leads and Delivery Managers to shape delivery plans.

Salary: GBP 80,000 - 90,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFront) and secure-by-default design.
  • •Proven Terraform experience delivering infrastructure changes in complex environments.
  • •Ability to write automation using Node.js or Python for reliable delivery.
  • •Solid understanding of least-privilege access, multi-account governance and OIDC authentication.
  • •Experience working in agile, delivery-focused teams and mentoring mid-level engineers.
