Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and maintain utility-scale solar PV and energy storage electric systems, monitoring equipment and performing routine inspections.
  • •Perform planned and corrective maintenance on solar generation and energy storage assets, including electrical components such as inverters, switchgear, MV transformers, and battery management systems.
  • •Carry out balance-of-plant work such as inspections, electrical switching, and protection, maintaining substation and power distribution center equipment.
  • •Conduct advanced troubleshooting, testing, diagnostic checks, and equipment resets for solar and battery systems using tools like SCADA, historian platforms, and OEM/third-party applications.
  • •Develop and update standard operating and LOTO procedures, support warranty claim documentation and submittals, and implement approved improvements to increase plant performance.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED with a valid driver’s license and 3 years of electrical experience (480VAC or 1000VDC or above), or 3 years maintaining electrical or utility-scale renewable energy systems.
  • •Associate degree in Electrical or Electrical Engineering Technician with 1 year of electrical experience (480VAC or 1000VDC or above) or 1 year operating and maintaining renewable energy projects.
  • •Experience in hands-on/on-the-job electrical work or operations/maintenance of renewable energy projects, or a technical certificate in Solar/Energy Storage Service Technician or NABCEP certification.
  • •Ability to read and use technical prints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and site plans; proficiency with technical specifications documents.
  • •Obtain and maintain FAA Part 107 certification for operating aerial drone equipment for periodic site inspections and troubleshooting.
