Key Responsibilities

  • •Generate and evaluate creative mechanical design solutions considering risk, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, weight, and cost
  • •Transition concepts into products using 3D CAD solid modeling, including defining requirements and selecting materials and processes
  • •Troubleshoot design failure modes to identify root causes and develop effective solutions
  • •Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, software, industrial design, controls) for integrated development
  • •Conduct prototype testing and requirement verification, and provide technical review/approval for mechanical components and assemblies

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • •2+ years’ experience in mechanical design for manufacturability in a high precision/high volume manufacturing environment (medical preferred)
  • •Some experience with electro-mechanical devices with embedded software preferred
  • •Familiarity with plastic injection molding and die casting (metal injection molding is a plus)
  • •Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills in a collaborative environment
