Job Summary

Lead town planning and consenting work for major, nationally significant infrastructure projects across the UK. Prepare Town & Country Planning Act applications, support and lead consenting inputs for DCOs/DNSs/TWAOs, and provide technical advice to clients. Coordinate with statutory bodies and stakeholders, and provide technical oversight across multidisciplinary teams. Support work-winning activity and apply your understanding of project finances and delivery in a consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead preparation of Town & Country Planning Act applications for infrastructure projects across the UK.
•Support and lead consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects, including DCOs, DNSs, and TWAOs.
•Provide sound technical advice to clients and support managing their consenting requirements.
•Work and liaise with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients to help deliver projects.
•Lead and engage with teams across disciplines, providing technical oversight and supporting work-winning opportunities.

Key Requirements

•Degree-level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
•Member of (or eligible for) the RTPI.
•Demonstrable experience supporting town planning and consenting inputs on major, nationally significant infrastructure projects.
•Experience preparing Town & Country Planning Act applications for infrastructure projects across the UK.
•Experience securing consents and approvals via the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008, and Transport and Works Act Order (or equivalent routes such as the Planning (Wales) Act 2015, Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, or the Electricity Act).
