Job Summary

Senior leadership role leading WSP’s Energy practice in Western Canada. You will shape energy strategy, lead projects and client engagements, ensure regulatory compliance, grow the energy portfolio, and mentor Energy staff across Vancouver and other BC locations, delivering low‑carbon, resilient energy infrastructure and innovative solutions for communities and industry.

Job Function: Energy & Utilities Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and grow the Energy practice in Western Canada, managing projects and client engagements.
•Provide governance on Energy projects, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
•Mentor and coach Energy staff to build capability and deliver on strategic initiatives.
•Collaborate with internal departments and manage subconsultants to improve project delivery and quality.
•Identify and lead initiatives to secure resources and drive organizational change within the Energy group.

Key Requirements

•Leadership experience in the Energy sector, with hands‑on project delivery
•Engineering degree or technical diploma in a related field
•Proven business development capability with existing Western Canadian energy market network (BC)
•Strong financial and business acumen, including P&L management experience is an asset
•Ability to negotiate and build relationships with clients and stakeholders
