Key Responsibilities

•Lead the technical delivery of conceptual through detailed designs of mine waste management facilities (tailings dams, filtered stacks, co-disposal facilities, waste dumps) and water management facilities.
•Fulfill the role of Engineer of Record (EOR) on tailings dams or similar embankment systems.
•Provide technical direction and mentorship to technical team members.
•Perform independent technical reviews of engineering reports and designs.
•Provide expert advice to clients on engineering matters, including regulatory compliance and standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline. 8+ years of progressive experience in the tailings and mine waste sector. Previous experience serving as Engineer of Record for large tailings facilities.
•Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (preferred).
•20+ years of progressive experience in tailings management, preferably within Canada (preferred).
•Highly collaborative, with the ability to build strong working relationships across AECOM and with global project teams (preferred).
•Proven experience leading and building multidisciplinary teams (preferred).
