Key Responsibilities

•Maintain equipment in accordance with Sika programs, policies and standards.
•Maintain safe and clean work environment in accordance with Sika Housekeeping policy.
•Manage vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with health, safety and behavior standards and monitor project progress within budget and schedule.
•Manage some projects from start to finish including CARs with budgets, savings, timelines, and status reporting.
•Implement changes in existing production processes, equipment and facilities; engineer new processes to increase output and reduce bottlenecks.
•Review layouts of machines and equipment to optimize performance and implement changes.
•Identify and conceptualize production systems to drive improvements in safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and cost reductions.
•Gather lessons learned to streamline future projects.
•Program, troubleshoot, and support automated systems including PLCs, networking solutions and camera vision systems.
•Create procedures, documentation, routings, and other necessary documentation for processes.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with operators, R&D, QA, supply management, and executive management.
•Serve as technical expert in controls equipment and automation; mentor others in automation tech.
•Adjust on-floor work schedules as needed to support automation initiatives.
•Perform other work and projects as required.

Key Requirements

•Associate’s degree in engineering (Electrical or Electronics)
•5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with automation, PLCs, and packaging equipment
•Expert experience in automation, PLCs, HMIs and troubleshooting (FBD, STL)
•Siemens Simatic Manager, TIA Portal preferred
•Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to prepare and maintain documentation
