Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the most complex health actuarial modeling and analysis assignments (IBNR and reserve studies, pricing and rate development, actuarial value and funding evaluations, experience/trend analyses, budgets and projections).
  • •Act as a technical reviewer and subject matter expert, ensuring consistency and quality across models, assumptions, and deliverables.
  • •Develop work plans, assign tasks, and monitor progress across the team and other Actuarial Team Managers on large or complex projects.
  • •Review models and analyses for compliance with actuarial standards, documentation requirements, and internal controls.
  • •Drive process improvement and automation initiatives, and provide ongoing technical coaching, onboarding, training, and knowledge-sharing.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative field, with 7+ years of health actuarial experience.
  • •Proven track record leading complex health actuarial projects/workstreams and coordinating reviews of other actuarial professionals.
  • •Mentoring and developing junior colleagues in global, cross-functional environments.
  • •Expert proficiency in Excel and health actuarial modeling (IBNR/reserving, pricing/rate development, funding/contribution strategies, forecasting and projections).
  • •Significant progress toward professional actuarial credentials (SOA, IFOA, CONAC or equivalent).
