Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the Gold layer for a given business domain by designing and continuously improving curated, dimensional data models used by dashboards and ELT reporting.
  • •Implement governed, versioned metric marts for core KPIs to resolve KPI mismatches and disputes.
  • •Build and curate the semantic layer and Genie spaces, authoring metadata, documentation, and prompt/metric definitions for self-serve querying.
  • •Maintain the metric dictionary as a single source of truth for metric meaning, ownership, and discoverability; ensure consistency across overlapping domains.
  • •Author data contracts and SLAs at the Silver→Gold boundary, partnering with horizontal data engineering on inputs and owning quality, freshness, and on-call for failures.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related analytics role, with experience independently owning data models used for decisions.
  • •Advanced SQL and strong data modeling fundamentals, including dimensional modeling and semantic layer design.
  • •Hands-on experience with dbt (or equivalent), orchestration tooling such as Airflow, version control with Git, and modern warehouse/lakehouse platforms (Databricks preferred).
  • •Experience with data quality testing and observability, schema management and data contracts, plus query/model performance and cost tuning.
  • •Domain fluency in at least one business area (e.g., PLG funnels, marketing attribution, revenue/ARR) and the judgment to translate metric distrust into durable model fixes.
