Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, design, and synthesize protein libraries and lead development of biochemical assays to characterize libraries for diagnostic and therapeutic applications
  • •Lead and execute process development to optimize protein expression at different scales
  • •Author technical reports, SOPs, batch records, and technology transfer documents; contribute to patent applications and publications
  • •Support lab operations by managing equipment and capital planning; lead acquisition of new lab equipment and develop proposals
  • •Train and supervise junior colleagues in lab activities

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 90,000 - 125,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Ph.D in protein engineering, molecular biology, bioengineering, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related fields
  • •Experience designing and executing protein engineering methods such as rational design and directed evolution
  • •Experience with recombinant protein expression and purification
  • •Strong desire to learn new techniques and work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup
  • •Prior experience characterizing protein-DNA interactions (EMSA, Fluorescent polarization, SPR) is a plus
