Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and coordinate Opinion's cross-platform strategy for AI coverage, identifying the most urgent moral, political and economic questions raised by emerging technologies
  • •Commission and edit ambitious enterprise projects, deep-dive features and essays that provide historical context and forward-looking analysis of the AI revolution
  • •Collaborate with graphics, multimedia and audience teams to create innovative digital presentations for complex technical and philosophical topics
  • •Manage and edit a portfolio of New York Times columnists and contributing writers, providing high-touch guidance on narrative voice, structural clarity and argumentative rigor
  • •Identify and recruit guest essayists and new recurring voices who can contribute specialized expertise on technology, ethics and the future
