Key Responsibilities

  • •Catch, identify, and vaccinate birds during flock housing, including rotating tasks for holding birds and performing vaccination.
  • •House birds by catching and scanning wing bands for identification, badging and placing birds into pens/cages/trailers as instructed.
  • •Remove wing/leg bands and badges, trim toenails/beaks, euthanize pedigree birds, and transport birds for disposal.
  • •Remove used litter, place new shavings per housing schedule, and maintain flock litter in production.
  • •Run belts and/or augers in cage, trap, and FCR houses to remove litter/spent feed and operate equipment to transport and mix litter for removal.
