Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and evolve enterprise data architectures across batch, streaming, lakehouse, warehouse, and operational use cases, including trade-offs and technology patterns.
  • •Lead data-mesh adoption (domain-oriented ownership, data as a product, federated computational governance, self-serve capabilities, discoverability, quality, and SLAs).
  • •Establish reference architectures and engineering standards for data products, pipelines, ingestion, storage, processing, orchestration, observability, lineage, security, and access management.
  • •Design streaming and event-processing architectures, including schema/data contracts, schema registries, event-time semantics, late-event handling, idempotency/deduplication, replay, dead-letter flows, and freshness SLAs.
  • •Guide cloud data platform and lakehouse evolution across AWS and GCP, provide architectural direction for MLOps/feature-platform capabilities, and drive architecture RFCs into implementation.

Key Requirements

  • •8–10+ years designing and operating scalable data architectures in complex enterprise or high-growth environments.
  • •Experience designing and operating data-mesh architectures and operating models, including domain ownership, data products, federated governance, and self-serve platforms.
  • •Strong streaming and event-driven architecture experience with Kafka or Kinesis and processing engines such as Flink or Spark Structured Streaming.
  • •Ability to design real-time/near-real-time workloads with deep understanding of event-time semantics, late data, state, deduplication, idempotency, replay, and failure recovery.
  • •Expertise in semantic layers and business ontologies, plus data modeling and lakehouse/warehouse patterns (pipelines, metadata, lineage, governance).
