Job Summary

Lead programme controls delivery for major Defence construction projects, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting across plans, cost, safety, environment and performance. Review project proposals to develop realistic, resourceable plans, coordinate resourcing with planning functions, and provide day-to-day reporting support to programme and project managers. Ensure data quality in cost and performance systems and manage production of the Investment Plan in line with the Investment Competence Framework.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the programme controls function, monitoring accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting.
•Deliver Project Controls across major construction projects and deploy controls team resources effectively.
•Review new project proposals/remits and ensure realistic, resourceable plans are developed for programme delivery.
•Identify and coordinate resourcing requirements with planning functions to resolve resourcing issues.
•Ensure data input meets required standards and manage production of the Investment Plan in line with the Investment Competence Framework.

Key Requirements

•Degree in a relevant technical or management field (or suitable equivalent qualifications and experience).
•Professional membership in a relevant body (e.g., Association for Project Management or Project Management Institute).
•Professional Project Controls experience across the project lifecycle, including two or more disciplines such as Planning/Scheduling, Cost Estimation, Cost Management, Risk Management, or Reporting.
•Advanced understanding of Integrated Project Controls disciplines and ability to assess an organisation’s maturity and ways of working.
•Ability to make risk-based decisions under unclear parameters and adapt leadership style to different audiences.
