Job Summary

Lead procurement activities as the primary business partner for operational teams, helping purchase the best value across the procure-to-pay lifecycle. Serve as the supply-matter point of contact, coach teams on procurement processes, execute category tactics, and manage RFQ/bid activity. Collaborate with vendors and the Sourcing Department on accurate order information, pricing, availability, parts, and delivery performance, while monitoring inventory needs and addressing order issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with operational teams and support employees, vendors, and the business throughout the procurement life cycle with a customer-centric mindset.
•Act as the primary point of contact on supply matters, driving procurement tactics for a line of business and/or category.
•Coach and train operational teams to improve the procure-to-pay process, including facilitating quotes and bids via RFQs.
•Collaborate with PO clerks, requestors, stakeholders, and the Sourcing Department to clarify specifications, establish alternatives, standardize, and ensure accurate order information.
•Manage supplier and order performance by monitoring inventory needs, ensuring on-time deliveries and quality, troubleshooting issues, and handling correspondence for shipment, quantity, date, and price changes.

Key Requirements

•High school degree or GED required, with at least 3 years of business, purchasing, operations, or related experience.
•Experience working with databases/data warehouse applications, ERP systems, and/or Microsoft Office applications.
•Beneficial experience with procurement tools, processes, and systems.
•Beneficial experience in mining, construction, or manufacturing.
•Strong analytical, interpersonal, project management, and negotiation skills, with excellent written and oral communication.
