Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and coordinate assigned projects by establishing schedules, parameters, and procedures to meet system objectives, including tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones.
  • •Support engineering programming and material selection activities in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • •Assist in establishing and maintaining an operations budget by revising estimates based on validated scope and monitoring forecast cost at completion.
  • •Help prepare RFQs for subcontractors, including scope statements, plan/milestone dates, specs, bonding requirements, and schedule of values.
  • •Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals and help supervise assigned project staff, subcontractors, and installers while coordinating with stakeholders on scope, budget, performance, and close-out.

Key Requirements

  • •Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree throughout the internship; preferred areas include Construction Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, HVAC, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Must have completed at least sophomore/2nd year before the start of the summer internship.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods through coursework, related projects, groups, or hands-on exposure/volunteering.
  • •Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • •Possess a valid driver’s license (minimum 12 months) with the ability to provide proof of insurance and no major or frequent traffic violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) in the previous 3 years.
