Key Responsibilities

•Prepare detailed estimates by completing takeoff, using past cost history, and conferring with field personnel.
•Maintain files of working documents, including current supplier price information from direct contact and documentation.
•Prepare detailed reports and information packets, and communicate bid aspects to field personnel on awarded bids.
•Review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, and material availability.
•Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations to ensure safe working procedures and the environment; report problems as needed.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of construction estimating experience.
•Engineering degree or equivalent technical training and/or experience.
•Experience with estimating software and proficiency with estimating and bidding software.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
