Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot industrial sawmill machinery to keep production running at peak performance. Work with a high-performance maintenance team to perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on equipment such as pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Diagnose mechanical issues, improve reliability, request parts for timely repairs, and help maintain a safe work environment while maximizing uptime.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
•Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance by inspecting equipment and investigating malfunctions.
•Troubleshoot issues and implement safe, reliable fixes to maximize production uptime.
•Use attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts for timely repairs.
•Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Requirements

•Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment; knowledge of lumber manufacturing is an asset.
•Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
•Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and experience using a CMMS to schedule/document maintenance.
