Partner with application engineers to guide scalable system design and act as an agent of change to continuously improve systems globally.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and scale internal platform offerings (compute, storage, and networking) to ensure application reliability and performance.
•Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.
•Collaborate with application software engineers to guide design and ensure long-term scalability.
•Improve systems incrementally as Carta expands globally by pushing boundaries and acting as an agent of change.

Key Requirements

•Extensive cloud experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda, and experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration.
•Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
•Strong networking fundamentals, including Container Network Interface (CNI) and network policy implementations, plus experience with proxies and service mesh.
•Deep monitoring and observability knowledge using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
•Proficiency in Python for building efficient, maintainable, scalable systems; experience with CI/CD and API service design is appreciated.
