Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and manage environmental assessments and remediation for oil and gas sites in the Northwest Territories and Yukon.
  • •Prepare health and safety plans and emergency response plans.
  • •Develop proposals and cost estimates, schedule field staff and subcontractors, and write reports with conclusions and recommendations.
  • •Handle project accounting, tracking, and reporting requirements under WSP’s Master Services Agreements.
  • •Mentor junior staff in environmental practices (including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, and groundwater sampling) and participate in limited site visits.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •University degree or diploma in engineering or natural/earth sciences.
  • •Minimum 10 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and conceptual site models of upstream oil and gas sites.
  • •Experience working in the north is preferred.
  • •Sound understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace, with a safety-conscious attitude.
  • •Professional designation with eligibility to register in NWT and Yukon is preferred.
