Job Summary

Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enable on-time, lowest-cost hardware delivery with strong safety and quality in a cross-functional environment. Support a manufacturing area by troubleshooting processes, incorporating engineering changes, and implementing improvements to reduce cycle time and cost. Collaborate with test engineering, product engineering, system engineering, program management, and Operations, and lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities

•Support a manufacturing area as part of a cross-functional team by troubleshooting processes and incorporating engineering changes.
•Identify opportunities and implement process and design changes to improve products, reduce costs, and improve productivity while meeting quality standards.
•Collaborate with test engineering, product engineering, system engineering, program management, and Operations.
•Communicate effectively within and outside the team to explain facts, policies, and practices.
•Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence and adhere to EHS practices and standards.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
•Ability to obtain and maintain ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) access.
•U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program/contract.
•Mechanical Engineering background is highly preferred.
•Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for SolidWorks) and/or simulation tools.
