Job Summary

Own core backend services powering Justlife’s marketplace, from smart dispatching and real-time order tracking to API integrations and live operational systems. Design and improve high-throughput, distributed architectures with strong database modeling, reliability, and performance. Build data-driven experimentation and AI-assisted workflows, mentor engineers, and help evolve a legacy PHP service onto the Java platform.

Key Responsibilities

•Take end-to-end ownership of core backend services that run the marketplace and set technical direction within your domain.
•Work on smart matching at scale to route customer demand to the right professional in real time.
•Build and improve live operations for order tracking, availability, and assignment systems.
•Design and optimize APIs for third-party integrations using an API-first approach, including end-to-end API testing.
•Mentor engineers and help evolve backend systems, including migrating a legacy PHP 7 service onto the Java platform.

Key Requirements

•Strong proficiency in Java and hands-on experience with Spring Boot (MVC, RESTful services).
•Deep comfort with relational databases (MySQL) and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
•Experience designing distributed, high-throughput systems using message queues (RabbitMQ) and caching (Redis).
•Solid grasp of SOLID, object-oriented design, design patterns, and testing discipline (unit and integration tests).
•Senior-level ownership: take services from design to production and make sound technical trade-offs while mentoring engineers.
