Key Responsibilities

  • •Take responsibility for overall coordination and management of safe and efficient receiving, production, and distribution of products to customers.
  • •Provide people leadership to slitting operators, material handlers, operations clerks, and assistant operators; develop talent and manage supervisors’ performance.
  • •Plan weekly production and distribution requirements to achieve DC operation targets, adhere to SLAs, and improve OEE/capacity using ELS tools.
  • •Ensure production meets quality standards including ISO 9001 compliance; investigate non-conformances and communicate quality issues with the workforce.
  • •Manage inventory through cycle counts and audits, oversee distribution and dispatch administration, and ensure fleet maintenance and cost reduction for dispatch.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • •3–5 years supervisory/managerial experience managing a distribution centre.
  • •Recognised qualification in Production Supervision and Management, Logistics, or Operations Management.
  • •Grade 12 with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent operations qualification.
  • •Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical problem-solving, negotiation/influencing, and planning/organizing skills.
