Job Summary

Deliver security assurance for major classified projects across WSP’s government sector clients, providing targeted security direction and guidance. Manage classified project delivery across personnel, physical, and information security domains, while liaising with client teams to interpret and monitor security requirements in contractual schedules or SALs. Support accreditation and compliance processes, plan assurance activities and briefings, assess security control effectiveness, review supply chain competencies, and contribute to investigations and the maturity of WSP’s Security Management System.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver security assurance for projects within the relevant government sector, protecting sensitive client assets.
•Liaise with client security and project delivery teams to interpret, implement, and monitor security requirements in contractual security schedules or Security Aspects Letters (SALs).
•Support security accreditation and certification processes for external compliance requirements tied to the sector.
•Plan and deliver assurance activities including induction briefings, project-specific security briefings, supplier onboarding, and security awareness training.
•Measure and assess security control effectiveness, identify corrective actions and improvements, review supply chain competencies, and support security incident investigations and near-miss reporting.

Key Requirements

•Hold SC clearance or the ability to achieve it.
•Demonstrable knowledge of HMG security documentation (e.g. GovS:007), frameworks, policy and controls.
•Experience as a security manager or security controller in a regulated sector (e.g. Defence/Nuclear) is desirable.
•Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence peers and seniors on project security compliance and assurance.
•Knowledge of risk management methodologies and practical experience applying them.
