Job Summary

Own day-to-day operations for ML001, ensuring a high-utilization, audit-ready life-science lab. You’ll manage lab readiness, preventive maintenance and calibration, scalable inventory (par levels, reorders, audits, SKU-level vendor management), and the lab asset register lifecycle. Partner with science, engineering, procurement, and external facilities vendors on SOPs, BSL-2 buildout, HVAC/cold storage, onboarding, and workflow/resource utilization improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage day-to-day lab operations to keep instruments, consumables, and lab spaces ready for scheduled work.
•Own preventive maintenance and calibration across lab equipment, including vendor coordination and record integrity.
•Design and run a scalable lab inventory program (par levels, reorder triggers, audit cadence, SKU-level vendor management).
•Own the lab asset register and lifecycle planning (warranty tracking and service contract management).
•Develop and maintain SOPs and lab protocols, and manage facilities work including HVAC, cold storage, BSL-2 buildout, and equipment layout.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or a relevant scientific discipline.
•Proven track record of operational or program excellence, including building systems/processes in a fast-paced environment or running a biology lab.
•Familiarity with wet lab environments and the ability to quickly develop scientific context on the job.
•Demonstrated experience running a BSL-2 program.
•Track record of building and maintaining SOPs, calibration/PM programs, and inventory systems.
