Job Summary

Lead end-to-end corporate tax engagements across multiple clients, managing projects, budgets, and delivery from start to finish. Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns while reviewing work for accuracy and tax savings. Perform primary ASC 740 income tax provision review, research and consult on tax matters, and respond to IRS and state inquiries. Collaborate with specialists, including WNTO, to support clients’ tax functions and identify opportunities to sell services.

Key Responsibilities

•Run client engagements end to end, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects while managing to budget.
•Supervise, train, and mentor senior associates, associates, and interns; assess performance and serve in an in-charge role as needed.
•Identify and capitalize on opportunities to sell services to existing and potential clients.
•Review tax returns prepared by staff and recommend improvements for accuracy and tax savings opportunities.
•Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements; research and consult on tax matters and respond to IRS/state inquiries.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
•Minimum four to seven years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.
•CPA or JD/active law license required.
•Experience in public accounting is preferred.
•Strong corporate income tax and ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes experience, including knowledge of US GAAP and corporate income tax laws and regulations.
