Key Responsibilities

  • •As part of a multi-discipline project team, conduct site inspections and verify tested results are correct.
  • •Assist senior personnel with commissioning activities and develop knowledge of commissioning processes and test procedures in your discipline.
  • •Assess whether test procedures and recorded results demonstrate compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
  • •Assist with reviewing project documentation for compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
  • •Liaise with contractors’ commissioning teams, perform site observations on installation quality, and maintain a daily diary of site events, systems inspected, and decisions made by authorities.

Key Requirements

  • •Have an MEP / Building Services Engineering degree (BSc Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services) or an equivalent college qualification (Diploma/Certificate/ONC/OND/HNC/HND or trade-time served).
  • •Meet the experience requirement for the relevant qualification level (2 years with a degree, 3 years with a diploma, or 4 years with a college/trade certificate).
  • •Be able to apply commissioning test procedures and understand how building systems interact in your selected engineering discipline.
  • •Be prepared to learn commissioning processes and demonstrate moderate proficiency across multiple competencies under supervision.
  • •Have relevant industry accreditations such as Incorporated Engineer and/or CSA Grade 3 and/or commissioning certifications (e.g., BCA, ACG, NEBB), if applicable.
