Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the async task runner to meet the needs of 100+ million users and support growth.
  • •Ensure systems are reliable, efficient, and scalable with guidance from senior engineers; evaluate and integrate new technologies as needed.
  • •Empower the engineering team to build features confidently while growing skills in distributed systems and infrastructure.
  • •Develop the ability to debug live production systems, replace components, manage failovers, and participate in on-call rotations to uphold reliability.
  • •Collaborate with product engineers and other infra teams to align platforms with evolving business needs and product goals.

Key Requirements

  • •An early-career software developer with at least 1 year of experience and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Systems thinker who understands distributed systems and can design solutions considering tradeoffs like consistency, latency, and scalability.
  • •Pragmatic problem-solver who balances craft, speed, and long-term maintainability and is able to learn new technologies quickly.
  • •Ownership and initiative; comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous problems in a fast-moving environment with a bias toward action.
  • •Customer empathy and collaboration across teams to unblock engineers and support reliable systems; willingness to explore AI tools to work smarter.
