Job Summary

Own the architecture and scaling of Block’s Oracle Fusion-based finance technology that powers Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and FP&A. Use an AI-first engineering mindset to embed AI-assisted development tools, automate testing, and accelerate delivery. Design data models and scalable solution architectures across Oracle modules, build integrations between accounting systems and data lakes using SQL/PL-SQL and APIs, and translate accounting requirements into well-documented technical designs.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive AI-first development by embedding AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code generation, automate testing, and improve delivery velocity.
•Architect and maintain scalable financial solutions by designing data models and solution architectures across Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP for accounting operations and reporting.
•Architect, build, and support integrations between accounting systems, data lakes, and internal applications using SQL/PL-SQL and APIs (REST, SOAP) with JSON.
•Improve operational efficiency by identifying system inefficiencies and deploying automation to scale financial workflows.
•Translate complex accounting principles and business requirements into scalable technical designs and comprehensive documentation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 104,100 - 156,100

•Demonstrated experience with accounting process transformation, financial data modeling, and end-to-end solution architecture.
•Ability to solve complex problems by untangling organizational dependencies and addressing technical debt with streamlined, automated processes.
