Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise business and technology teams on legal issues arising from AI and emerging technology development, procurement, deployment, and use.
  • •Assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks tied to AI-enabled decision making, including fairness, bias, transparency, and accountability, and support AI governance.
  • •Monitor and translate legislative and regulatory developments related to AI and advanced technologies into practical guidance, including support for AI governance framework evolution.
  • •Support bias analysis using BIFSG methodology and review internal model builds; provide support related to the NAIC AI Systems Evaluation Tool.
  • •Provide legal guidance on technology matters such as disaster recovery, website accessibility, digital terms and conditions, contractor/third-party technology access, and sanctions-related issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • •Be fully licensed and in good standing per OCLO policy, including continuing legal education requirements in the state(s) practiced.
  • •Typically 15 or more years of relevant legal experience.
  • •Significant experience with one or more areas of law, complex legal practices, and project management concepts.
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical ability to interpret statutes/regulations/contracts, and decision-making for complex recommendations.
