Job Summary

Build and maintain Amadeus’s ABR corporate rule engine within the Bogotá-based Scrum team. You’ll work on the ABR Suite (MDS middleware) alongside senior engineers through the full software development lifecycle—writing and debugging C++/Java/Python code, submitting pull requests to the ABR repository on Bitbucket, running and adding unit tests, updating Jira and Confluence documentation, and rotating through support “sheriffing” on Win@proach/ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

•Attend daily stand-ups and communicate progress and blockers.
•Update Jira tickets and log your work before stand-ups.
•Develop, debug, and test C++/Java/Python code on the MDS codebase.
•Submit pull requests to the ABR repository on Bitbucket and review peers’ code.
•Run ABR non-regression tests locally, write new unit tests, and update Confluence documentation (including participating in sheriffing rotations on Win@proach/ServiceNow when required).

Key Requirements

•University degree or SENA student in Computer Science or a related field.
•Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python.
•Ability to break down complex problems and apply logical reasoning to trace bugs across application, middleware, and database layers.
•Ability to read and interpret logs, error messages, and system behavior.
•Motivation to learn and interest in backend/middleware development, with good team collaboration skills (English proficiency desirable).
