Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a CEI Senior Inspector to support construction engineering and inspection efforts in the Ft Lauderdale, FL area. You’ll lead field surveying, layout, quality assurance, and daily inspections, mentor junior inspectors, manage project timelines, and ensure FDOT standards and contract requirements are met on transportation and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform highly complex technical assignments related to field surveying and construction layout, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
•Verify engineering computations, inspects construction work, and conducts field testing to maintain quality and compliance standards.
•Coordinate, oversee, and provide guidance to junior inspectors to ensure consistent execution of inspection activities.
•Establishes and manages project timelines and deadlines to support overall project delivery.
•Conduct daily field inspections and maintains accurate, organized inspection records and reports.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 33 - 45 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma plus 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•U.S. Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work
•Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
•Must be able to visit project sites and AECOM offices as needed
• Four (4) years of CEI experience preferred and CTQP qualifications listed in preferred block
