Job Summary

Join as a Big Data Solutions Architect in Professional Services, working with clients on short-to-medium engagements to design, build, and deploy Databricks-based data and AI solutions. You’ll deliver data engineering, data science, and cloud projects, guide customers through reference architectures, and collaborate with engineers, PMs, and clients to ensure successful adoption and ongoing support.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and deploy reference architectures and production-ready customer use cases on the Databricks platform.
•Collaborate with engagement managers to scope professional services work with input from the customer.
•Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
•Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects to achieve adoption of Databricks technologies.
•Provide escalated support for customer operational issues and coordinate with Engineering and Customer Support to resolve engagement-specific product and support issues.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics.
•Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala.
•Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
•Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
•Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
