Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using an approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers on activities such as concept scoping, feature trade-off/trade tables, should-cost/clean-sheet models, and joint SOW-driven design development.
  • •Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers; ensure NPI component procurement is on-time and correct.
  • •Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and complete BOM risk assessments, including alternate component sourcing and vendor component qualifications ahead of production.
  • •Optimize supply network lead time and flexibility via value-stream mapping and reduce complexity through commonality and component/supplier rationalization; lead cost engineering (including tariffs/import-export and cost inflation) to converge the bottoms-up cost curve and maximize TCO.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of experience in design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices and advanced sourcing/supplier management.
  • •Experience with early supplier engagement ahead of product/engineering requirements realization, including supplier development (technology, process, supply chain).
  • •Background in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Familiarity with high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or related technical degree (preferred).
